It’s the busy season for Congregation Beth Israel. I hope you’re taking part in the spiritual nature of our activities, and having fun at the same time.
Thanks to Martin Goldin, our Sukkah was a big hit. We had our First Friday Family Fun Shabbat dinner under the Sukkah. It was great. And our children spent time there, as well. A visit by Rabbi Simons allowed us to celebrate Simchat Torah.
And now, we get ready for Rabbi Orrin Krublit’s return to Congregation Beth Israel. In this newsletter, you’ll read an inspiring message from Rabbi Orrin. It’s the precursor of what promises to be a great weekend with him. The rabbi’s first visit is October 23-25. If you’d like to schedule time to sit down with Rabbi Orrin, please let me know.
A special thank you to everyone who participated in High Holidays services. You made Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur so meaningful.
Don’t forget, our next general membership meeting is November 1. The 11:30 a.m. meeting will include a proposal to change our bylaws, reducing the number of membership meetings from four a year to three a year. Those meetings would be in August, January and May. But, the change can only be made if a majority of the membership supports the board’s amendment to the bylaws.
Super Bowl squares will be sold at the November meeting. I know, the big game is months away. The general membership meeting is a great time to get people fired up about Super Bowl 50.
Have any programs you’d like us to try? Give me a call and let me know what’s on your mind. I hope to see all of you at upcoming Congregation Beth Israel events.
My best to all of you.
